Sheryl Murphy R.N., M.S.N. is a Nurse Practitioner specializing in implantable pacemaker and defibrillator device follow-up at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston in the Division of Cardiology, where she is also the Nurse Manager for the Cardiology Clinic. She is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (1979), the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Nursing with a Master of Science degree in Emergency Care / Administration (1984), and completed additional graduate/postgraduate training at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston with a Family Nurse Practitioner Post-Master’s Certification (1996). She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Ms. Murphy is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society, the Houston Electrophysiology Society, the American Nurses Association, and the Texas Nurses Association.
